speedikon® C is a highly flexible system with unlimited possibilities to map your processes and to display any desired data sets.
The modular concept has proven its success -once
developed and tested modules can be implemented in any application. This enables us to rapidly construct a prototype which is then refined and customised to meet customer requirements.

 

As the modules have already been widely used we guarantee a low error rate in newly configured applications with the result that a stable and robust system is swiftly obtained.
Furthermore these modules ensure that the user interface is substantially standardised for every application. The number of training sessions and time needed to become familiar with the modules are therefore kept to a minimum, which is greatly appreciated by our customers.

DatA MANAGEMENT

Experience has shown that in times of ‘Big Data’ technical and commercial data can only be rationally evaluated if they are available in a structured form.

This makes the data structure a fundamental component of speedikon® C. It comprises a small but highly flexible number of data objects that are freely configurable. This means that data can be analysed comprehensively, resulting in increased performance.

 

A significant feature of the underlying data structure in speedikon® C is that data redundancy is reduced to a minimum. Furthermore auditing activities are supported as every change is tracked consistently within the system.


Process data

This data, which is generated in the course of a process, is primarily linked to the master data objects that refer to the respective process.

Process data usually consists of objects and elements which are specifically customised and adapted to the
requirements of the customer’s processes. Key examples include actions, orders, notifications, malfunctions, costs, consumption and generation volumes, parameters, contracts, bookings and dates.

 

We place great value on tracking every process step,
therefore all the data created in the process flow is stored within the system.

speedikon® C is designed to handle and process these large quantities of data.


MEASURING datA

Measuring data is collected from meters, sensors or control units. This continuously incoming data, which carries a time stamp (UTC), is created in large quantities, as the time intervals are often in the millisecond range. Therefore specific hardware configurations and special time data bases must be used.

 

Furthermore these data streams produce high network loads and demand that the data bases are available at all times, generating considerable hardware costs. For this reason we have developed a cost-effective solution with our WiriBox®. The WiriBox® runs on the Edge Computing principle and is designed redundantly.

The data is kept close to its source. Only a small amount of information is sent to the cloud where the central system runs. If needed (for evaluations and analysis), further segments of data can be collected from the decentralised systems at any time.


GraPHICS

Every object can be presented as a 2D and / or 3D graphic. The graphical data is an integral component of the object data and is therefore stored in the data base. This enables us to provide a consistent system without any divergence between the graphical and alphanumerical data, and no further alignments are required. There are no plugins needed for displaying and editing the data within the web-system as we use HTML5 canvas for 2D and WebGL for 3D representations.

Although speedikon® C has a broad set of graphical functions, it is not a CAD system in the classical sense. The main focus of our graphical component is set on creating comprehensive and comfortable evaluations and analysis.

 

The graphic data is imported from CAD systems via data interfaces and is directly linked to the objects in speedikon® C. Drawings are created through loading several objects from the data base and presenting them as a graphic. Our objects are structured hierarchically so all subordinated components (objects) are automatically loaded and displayed from the specific object within the hierarchy tree e.g. a level or installation.

BIM

BIM data can be imported and evaluated in speedikon® C via the IFC data interface. Not only is the 3D graphic data transferred but also the attribute data and hierarchy structures.

 

Regardless of where the focus lies for BIM, be it in CAFM, Maintenance Management or Life Cycle Management, speedikon® C is already well equipped to meet these challenges.

VirtuAL Reality and Holograms

The Future, as we know it from our favourite science fiction movies, has begun. 3D models are displayed spatially and holograms are blended into the reality.

 

We have gone the extra step to connect these graphics with the attribute information. This enables us to visualize the entire contents of the data base. A whole new way of working!

Time Slider

The time slider is a cutting-edge and highly powerful feature of speedikon® C. All past conditions of the complete model can be displayed, including the individual object links, attributes and graphics. Simply moving the time slider to a desired date suffices! All data is valid for a specific period and is not deleted from the data base. This enables a consistent and gapless function.

Also planning for the future can be made by linking modifications to a commencement date. These modifications only become visible to the current user once the commencement date has been reached.

 

The aim of the time slider is to ensure a secure access to archived data. Importing backups or extensive searches through archives is a thing of the past - one click on the time slider will do!

On the basis of these properties speedikon® C is also used to archive data from external systems for auditing purposes.

Record of Change

The record of change is a function complimentary to the time slider, which guarantees gap-free logging of all process steps. Subsequent processes and the supply of relevant data can be initiated when this protocol is evaluated.

If for legal reasons logging is not permitted, it can be limited to certain information or be completely switched off.

Processes and Workflows

In addition to managing and administrating master data, the speedikon® C platform is designed to map business processes. These processes are customised and adapted to the customer’s needs. There are easy-to-use configuration possibilities that allow trained users to create or modify their own work flows.

Due to this flexible configurability, an individual and easy-to-use browser application is created that includes all relevant attributes and graphical information.

 

Each process step has a customised user interface which displays all relevant content essential for the respective step. Status attributes control the flow of the process and define who should perform a defined task at a specific point in time. The work flow is protected from operating errors by allocating individual rights and duties to each user. The platform has a comprehensive function and calculation system to automatically run calculations within an application. Program extensions or individual system development for the workflows are rarely required, but can be provided if necessary.

The applications are started via individually customised tiles which match the corporate design of the company.


Internationalisation

The speedikon® C - platform can be used internationally. As it is set up on the most modern data bases which support Unicode, any language can be used and combined and there is no need to create language groups.

All standard objects, attributes and catalogues are delivered in German, English and French. These can be complemented with another language so that all self-created objects and attributes are presented in that language. Every user is allocated a default language which can be easily changed via the software interface.

 

Furthermore the platform supports coordinated universal time (UTC) so that it can be used internationally, this being important for Service Level Agreements and Energy Data Management. The system switches automatically to local time when displaying evaluations or analysis. In addition to the translation of the user interface, local factors must also be taken into consideration, including technical units, currencies, catalogues and binding regulations as well as country-specific flows within the processes.

All these conditions can be configured without modifying the actual software code!


Background processes

A wide range of processes are executed automatically in
speedikon® C
. These are triggered by the scheduler via time control.
So, for example, maintenance measures are generated automatically for the following week or contracts are regularly scanned for
required actions - all running in the background!

Furthermore processes can be executed as a result of certain events or when specified values have been reached. The scheduler initiates these tasks by monitoring the defined values.

 

In addition to the automatic execution of processes the system is also able to conduct complex notification chains which can be integrated into existing internal company communication structures.


DATA INTERFACES

Data interfaces are, along with the data management and process configuration, a mainstay of speedikon® C. This is due to the integrative approach of our software platform.

The data interfaces are broadly used for alphanumerical and graphical data exchanges. With the aid of the import rules any format can be processed.
These rules are decisive for logical integration of data, regardless of whether a one-time import is being conducted or consecutive reimports.

Standardised import rules for common formats e.g. DWG, DXF, DGN, IFC are available. We can assist in adapting the importing rules, if unique and/or specific formats are required.

Measuring data is collected via fieldbus interfaces (M-Bus, ModBus, Bacnet, etc.) or specific exchange formats e.g. OPC UA and SNMP.

In this connection the measuring frequency is often in the millisecond range, hence specific adapters, connectors and data loggers are essential. Our WiriBox® is a highly adaptable intelligent data logger which also functions as a data buffer. This prevents data loss if the data base does not store information for any given reason.

 

Our focus in developing data interfaces is not only set on data transfer and conversion of formats but also on logical consequences when new data is brought into existing structures (doublets, inconsistencies, deletions, etc.).
We have gained broad and deep knowledge regarding data interfaces with all SAP modules due to the complex requirements of our customers.

In new projects we usually use web service technology although we do support older types such as the standard data interfaces csv, xlsx, RFC / BAPI.

This is one of the many reasons why speedikon® C has established itself as an up- and downstream system for SAP.


Intelligence

A level of intelligence in the software is the key to supporting the user effectively.
Individual calculations should run automatically, information hidden in the data should be processed automatically; application templates should be fed automatically with information and the user should have to fill in only those values in the process chain that are unknown to the system.

In principle, no redundant values should be requested.
The system autonomously calculates physical, logical and distinct values such as unit conversions, time zone allowances and currency parities.

Besides these universal rule types, it is possible to implement individual rules that are essential for specific customer requirements.

 

speedikon® C comprises a rule system that is built on multiple complexity levels. Simple rules are implementable via the interface or from XML files.

More complex rules are efficiently implemented with the help of an individual program code. Regression analysis and KI components are available for prognosis and probability-based evaluations.

EVALUATIONS AND DATA ANALYSIS

All information available in speedikon® C can be evaluated in various forms and in any correlation.

In principle we differentiate between ad-hoc evaluations which are usually required during a working session, and reports which ultimately have to be presented as an Excel, Word or PDF document.

 

There are many different methods for creating conclusive evaluations for which the user does not need any programming skills, although the completion of a training course is required.


Dashboards AND DISPLAYS

The user can assemble informative dashboards comprising lists, graphics, charts, masks and other evaluations. The reporting options are comprehensive as dashboard optimisation allows for either the display of data on screen (pixel resolution) or adaptation to the page format for hard copies.
The dashboards for the screen display are automatically updated at intervals that are set by the user.

 

The time slider enables the user to access and display any data from the past.

Even inexperienced users can create complex dashboards with the help of our easy-to-use graphical user interface.

Ad-hoc Lists and Reports

There are many different ways to create comprehensive reports in speedikon® C. Lists are easily configured with the help of filters to deliver ad-hoc information. They can then be exported to Excel or PDF. More complex reports, usually a combination of texts, lists and charts, are mapped into Excel or Word templates using placeholders which are automatically replaced by values from the specific attributes, elements and measuring data.

 

Once created, report systems are broadly applicable and easily adaptable for further purposes due to the high
flexibility of this method.


CUBE

The cube is a dynamic 3-axes evaluation tool for all existing data within the speedikon® C system. Two of the axes are displayed directly in the user interface. The third axis comprises consecutive sheets which can be displayed within the user interface, if needed. The individual cells, columns and rows can contain further functions.

 

The different axis types allow a comprehensive alphanumerical evaluation of complex data, including accumulations. Graphical evaluations, e.g. calendar views for maintenance plans, are therefore possible.

Simulations and Schemes

The main task of the simulation function is to clearly display past, present and future situations. Changes can be visualised in very short (seconds) or long (years) time intervals.

All data within the system can be included in the simulations.

 

The configurable rules determine which data is used and how this data acts in the specific simulations. The aging curves and adaption charts predefine the time-related development of, for instance, costs and conditions.
Variants can be calculated and compared due to the flexible customisations of the parameters within the simulations.

CHARTS

Displaying data series or data groups in a detailed graphical manner for comprehensive evaluations is an essential tool in technical and business orientated areas.
In speedikon® C all representations are comfortably customisable via the user interface. Thus even untrained users can perform data evaluations.

It is also possible to execute ad-hoc calculations directly within the charts.

 

The Smart-Editor is the basis for our easy-to-use calculation methods. Herewith the most important calculation types are simply executed by the push of a button.
More advanced and complex calculations are handled with the help of the formula editor, which is as performant as coding language. Once configured charts are saved and accessible with up-to-date data via the views tile.
User authorisations control the access to the respective charts.
